CHARGE AGAINST A TLACHEI DISMISSED. By Telegraph—Press Association. PALMERSTON N., March 8. Wm. Watts, a teacher at th College Street School, was to-da charged with assaulting a scholar. Medical and other evidence ws given, alleging that the boy had bee cruelly thrar.hed with a strap till r was considerably bruised. Mr A. D- Thompson, S.M., di rnissed the case without calling o the defence, saying in the circun seances that the boy had not be< unduly punished.
