PALMERSTON N. WOOL AND SKIN SALE.

At their Palmerston North wool, skin, and hide sale, Messrs Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report as follows: — We held our usual monthly sale to-day. and had an average catalogue to offer buyers. Bidding for wool and skins was fairly spirited and whilst bidding; for hides was not animated, still prices compare favourably with late rates. The whole of our offering was sold with the exception of one lot of wool and one lot of calfskins. We quote: —Wool. — Bales—Crossbred 5d to s|d per lb, lambs 5d to 6d, locks and pieces 2Jd to 4d, dead to s|d. Wool—Bags— Crossbred fine 6£d, crossbred medium »5d to sfd, inferior crossbred and black and dead 4d to 4|d, lambs 4Jd, 5d and fijd, pieces 3|d, crutchings 2|d to ad, locks 2£d to 2£d, skin pieces £d. Skins.—Lambs 5d to 6d, crossbred fine wool s|d to 6d, ■crossbred dead and damaged 2fd to •4fd, quarterbred wools 4|d to s|d, crossbred at per piece 6s 2d, a e - age weight 161b. Pelts.—ls Bd, is 4d to 2s lid, lambs Is 3d to 2s 3d, 3s to 3s 2d.
