DINIZULU'S SENTENCE.
"VINDICTIVE AND EXCESSIVE.-" PRESS COMMENT. Received March 5, 8.20 a.m.LONDON, March 4. The "Daily News" says that the sentence passed upon Dinizula is vindictive and excessive.
After a trial lusting seventy days, during which 150 native witnesses were examined, Dinizulu was found guilty of sheltering Bambaata, Mangati, and other rebels, but not guilty of inciting to rebellion. He was sentenced! to four years' imprisonment, dating from the time of hrs arresfc in December, 1907, and fined £IOO.
