PALMERSTON N., March 4. Messrs Abraham and Williams?, Ltd., report on their Palmerston North stock sale to-day as follows: A good yarding of both sheep and cattle came forward, and though prices were lower owing to the dry weather a gocd demand existed, and satistactory prices were realised for most lines, and very little went out unsold. Quotations:—Purebred 2touth Romney ewes, 18s; good 6tooth and f.f.m. ewes, 12s Id; 4 and 6-tooth ewes, lis 2d; 2-tooth ewes, Jls 2d to 12s 6d; 2-tooth to f.f.m. ewes, 10s 9d; 4-tooth to f.f.m. fit- ewes, 9s 8d to 10s 8d; 5-year ewes, 8s 3d to 8s 9d; cull ewes, 4s 6d; lambs, 7s 9d; cull lambs, 4s 2d; forward bulljck?, £5 6s; fat cows, £3 17s 6'd to £4 4s; light fat cows, £3 10s to £3 153; forward cows, £2 10s to £5 12s 6d; store cows, 35s to £2 ss; springing cows, £5 10s to £6; 18-month heifers, 25s to 295; 18-month steers, 30s; weanera, 9s fid to 15s; cows and calves, £2 17s; bulls, £2 5s to £3 ss. Messrs* / Da]gety and Co., Ltd., report as follows on a clearing ssle held I at Alfredton, on February 25th, on account Mrs Owen: —This snle was held in our Alfredton yards before a large attendance. We have to report a most successful sale, every line sel'ing readily under the hammer at advanced prices. The stock, which was of good quality, was also in good condition. We also renort having he'd out weekly sale at Exetahuna, on Fehruary 26th. The yarding in sheep was exceptionally heavy, and of good quality, everything selling' under the hammer at prices in favour of vendors. There was a large attendance of buyers present. We quote: —Account Mrs Owen—4-tooth wethers, lis sd; 2-tooth wethers, 10s 3d; poor wethers, 9s 6d; 4 and 5-year-old ewes to 12s 7d; 2, 4 and 6-tooth ewes, 13s 3d, 13s 4d, 13s sd; lambs, good, 9s 5d to 9s 7d, poorer sorts 7s 6d to 7s 9d; Romney rams, 1 to 2igns; Lincoln rams, 10s 6d to 30s; Southdown rams, to £2 ss. At Eketahuna—F.m. ewes, 12s, 12s 3d to 12s 6d; 2-tooth wethers, lis lOd; woolly lambs, 10s fid; shorn lambs, 7s 6d to 9s; forward cows, £3 12s 6d.
