MONEYLENDERS' ACT.
A CLAIM DISALLOWED. By "Telegraph—Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH, March 4. Mr H. W. Bishop, S.M., to-day, in a case under the Money-lenders' Act, disallowed certain charges made by the lender, totalling £46 lis 6d, which he held to be harsh and unconscionable. These were portion of charges in respect to an advance of £265 which was repaid within three months of the date of advance, the total amount repaid (including the above mentioned disa.lowed charges) being £351.
