Of AGO v. SOUTHLAND. By Telegraph—Pre;.s Association. INVERCARGILL, March 3. The inter-provincial cricket match Otago v. Southland began to-day in beautiful weather. The wicket was very tricky, and puzzled the batsmen, poor scoring be ng the result. Southland, batting fi>st were all out for 94, Glasgow (33) and Huntly (17) bein.<r the only double-figure scores. For Otago Wordsworth took 6 wickets for 24. Otago made even a poorer showing, being disposed of for 57, Henderson (10) and Blamires (10) being the only double figure scorers. Huntley, for the Southland team took 5 wickets for 13. When stumps were drawn Southland, in their second innings, had lost 8 wickets for 77 runs. The biggest scorer was Hamilton 32.
