MASTERTON CLUB

Twelve pairs entered fjv the Combined "Yankee" Tournament, played on Saturday afternoon last, Miss Hfdmes and H. H. Pavitt being the winners with 10 wins out of a possible 11, Miss Moodie and H. M. Boddi-gton 9 wins, and Miss Hamlin and H. Rhodes 8 wins, being second and third respectively. A trophy for this event was kindly donated by the President of the Club, Very Rpv, Dean McKennn. The following are the handicaps and drawings for the Men's Handicap Doubles, to be pla ed at onr:e:--H. M. Boddington and G. W. S-llar rec 38 play G. W. Arlidge and H. J. Francis rec 48; E, J. Mirams and F. H. Elcoate rec 23 play M. Foley and Noble-Campbell rec 45; H .H. Pavitt and A. R. Sclanders rec 2K play C. C. Cox and A. Bewley scr; K. J. Foss and W. G. Hand-Newton rec 48 play J. V. Gordon and E. B. Waddington rec 38; N. D. Bunting and D. Caselberg rec 23 play S. R. Gavvith and N. H. James rec 20; C. N. Haslam and J. G. Bee rec 33 play J. B. Moodie and H. W. Rishworth rec 23. Seventy points up. No. advantage points. Players are requested to finish the first two rounds without fail by Saturday, 13th inst.
