OPAKI QUOITS CLUB.
(From Our Own Correspondent.) The monthly match of the Opaki Quoits Club took place at Mr YVyeth's grour.ds on Saturday after noon last. The men's competition resulted in a win lor A. Petersen, H. Christensen being second, and A. Reader third. The ladies' commenced play for Mr McLeod's trophy instead of having the usual competition. The following trophies were presented to the winners by Mr Nicholson :—To Mrs A. Searle, the trophy presented by Misses Wyeth for the bizgest break made by a m irried lady during the past year, >.o Miss V. Petersen, Mrs Nicholson's trophy for the same made by a single lady; to Miss V. Petersen also, Mr E. Welch's trophy; to Mr Tunnicliffe, Mr Seade's; and to Mr K. Hunt, the W.F.C.A. and T. Wyeth's gold medals for most points and most wins respectively during the year. Mr Nicholson mentioned that Mrs Douglas had donated a trophy for the ladies and Mr Douglas one to the men. Hearty votes of thanks were accorded to the donors, also to the ku!ie3 who sarved afternoon tea. The following is the first drawing for Mr J.
