I Mr D. E. Partem, who was one of ! the best all-round cricketers in the i Wairarapa, has been sustaining his ; reputation in Taihape. Playing on Thursday last in a match Married v. Single, in which the best cricketing talent in the district, took part, Mr Parton captained the Married team, and showed his ability with the bac by scoring 107 not out. Speakng of the performance, the Taihape "Times" says:—"For the Married Mr Parton was the principal scorer, reaching the magnificent total of 107 not out. His cricked was a revelation. Every stroke was pretty and well timed, his drives and leg hits being particularly hot and accurately placed. Only two very doubtful chances did he give during his long and brilliant innings, both in the outfield. On retiring at 107 Mr Parton received an ovation from both teams." The Married team scored 168 and the Single team 150. Rsceived February 28, 4.30 p.m. SYDNEY, February 28. . Bardsley played an unfinished ininga of 217 against North Sydney yesterday. Mr W. A. Kellow, Taranaki Street, Wei lington., N-Z , writes : " There is no question about it—Chambeilain's Colic, Cholera and Diarrhoea liemedy is a line one. I ' have used it several times and it always gives me immediate relief. Not long ago one of my carters came home with a very sevi re a'.ack of colic and diarrhoea, and it only look two doses of Chamberlain's ( Colic. Cholera and Diarrhoea Remedy to fix him up in good shape. I never go away on a trip without a bottle of this medicine , for I find that change of watei often affects one."
