STOCK MARKET.
Messrs Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report on their Eketahuna stock sale held yesterday as follows: —The associated firms submitted an exceptionally largo entry, both yards being taxed to their utmost capacity, the cattle pens having to be made use of to accommodate sheep. On the whole the quality was good, but several pens of an inferior class were submitted. The attendance was large, and business at auction animated, and very little was passed oat unsold. We offered more stock than advertised, and have to report a satisfactory sale at prices in excess of those ruling at lnte sales. We quote: — Sheep: Two-tooth ewes, good, 14s 7d to 15s; cull 2 and 4-tooth ewes, lis to 12s; s.m. breeding ewes, 9s to 14s, according to quality and condition; aged ewes, 7s to 8s 6d; crocks, 2s Gd to 53; shorn lambs 7s fid to 9s Id. Rams: Romneys, 11 to 2£gns; Southdowns, 1 to4lgns; aged Lincolps up to |gn. Cattle: Forward cows, £3 5s to £3 7s 6d; 2vear old steers, £3. "Pigs: Weaners, ~9s to 13s; porkers, 28s.
