EXPLORATION IN PAPUA.
UNFRIENDLY NATIVES. Received February 25, 9.50 a.m. THURSDAY ISLAND, Feb. 25. The Mackay Papuan exploring party has returned. It found good agricultural lands. The natives inland were unfriendly, and frequently fired arrows at the parcy. One native boy was killed and three wounded. Fortunately, the natives were bad shots. The party is applying for rights in connection with a coal find.
