An application wa3 received frdm Mrs M. J. Smith , lessee of sec-

The board approved the request for the present. The ranger reported that Mr J. R. White, lessee of section 9 and 10, block 3, Rewa, Langdale Subs., 10 was not residing on the section. It was decided to call upon him to erect a dwelling-house and to take up his permanent residence
in three months' time. A letter was received from Mr J. A. Ennis. lessee of section 2, block 3,, Ruahine, 2,510 acres, in reply to the Board's notice calling upon him to show cause why his interests should not be forfeited, in which he stated that he would do the best he could to get the improvements done this winter, as his brothers were willing to help him. It was resolved that as he had held this large section since October, 1905, and so far had neither improved nor resided on it, it was inadvisable to allow it to remain in its present state any longer. Therefor the board decided to declare Mr Ennis's interests forfeited.—"New Zealand Tines."
