PROPOSED IMPERIAL GENERAL STAFF. TERRITORIAL ARMY DIVISIONS. -POLITICAL AND MILITARY ASPECTS. AUSTRALIAN REPORTS. Received February 24. 8.30 a.m. MELBOURNE, February 24. The Federal Minister for Defence (the Hon. Mr Pearce) has prepared a report on the political aspect ofc the question in connection with the proposed Imperial General Staff and the suggestion that Australia should raise live divisions of an army which is to guard the Empire. A second report by Colonel Bridges (Chief of Intelligence on the Commonwealth Military Board), deals exclusively witn the Military aspect. Both reports have yet to be considered by Cabinet.
