The Huddersfield and Australian League teams met on Saturday last, when Huddersfield won by a goal and a try (5 points) to a try (3 points). The attendance numbered ten thousand. Messenger did not play for Australia. Huddersfield pressed during the first he if, scoring a try and a brilliant goal from a penalty on the halfway line. On resuming, Huddersfield had the best of the game until near the close, when Bolewski secured a try for Australia, which Hedley failed to convert. E. Wrigley, the ex* Red Star (Masterton) player, belongs to the Huddersfield Ciub.
