NAPIER WOOL SALES.

J The third and last of the season's wool sales was held at Napier to-day, when in spite of the AucKland sale being fixed fur the same time there was a larse attendance of local and outside buyers. The total quantity of wool catalogued was 6,070 bales, an /increase of 3,713 on the number offered at the third sale of last year. Superior lots were eagerly competed for, and prices obtained for them compared favourably with those of the January sabs. The bulk o,f wool, however, was not of this class, and there was no American competition, wool suitable for that market not being in evidence. Prices were in keeping with quality, and did not indicate any downward tendency in the market.
The principal lines of prices ranged as follows:—Fine crossbred to 9d, medium to B£d, coarse to 7£d, good lambs wool lo B|d, extra to IOJd, inferior to 6d, pieces to 6d.
