IRISH PARLIAMENTARY PARTY.
A PRIVATE MEETING".. ~~ MR GINNELL EJECTED^ LONDON, February 12:. A private meeting of the Irish Parliamentary Party is being held in Dublin for the election of officers. Mr L. Gintiell, M.P.. of "cattledriving" fame, was forcibly ejected for insisting on the submission and. examination of accounts He afterwards complained to an* interviewer '•hat ther* hai been an unauthorised distribution of the Darty's money, one set using the funds to attack and undermine another set of the same party. Mr J. E. Redmond was re-elected chairman of the Party.
MR DILLON'S VIEWS. Received February 14, 4.15 p.m. LONDON. February 14. Mr J. Dillon (National M.P.) speaking at Belfast, affirmed, in reply to criticism representing the Irish Party as the Liberal Party's tail, that there was very little cause for confidence in Mr Asquith. They all recogni-ed that there had been a great change in the Liberal Party since the late Sir Henry CampbellBannerman's r'eath, and they were waiting to see whether the Imperial Roseberyite section or the Radical honest Home Rule section would prevail. Their relatiorship to the Liberal Party was now h.ng-ng in the balance. They would know which it was going to be dur ng the ensuing session, which would be a'momentous one. He warned Mr Asquith that if the Liberals entered upon a policy of Imperialism and high expenditure over the Navy and put Home Rule on a back seat, the Irish Party would be irreconcilable, and would oppose them.
