SUICIDE OF AN ACTOR.

CHARLES WARNER. ! NEW YORK, February 12. Mr Charles Warner, the actor, committed suicide in New York. He was found hanging to thedoorjamb of a rcom in his hotel. He left an incoherent, hysterical note, alleging that he had tieen persecuted by blackmailers. Mr Harry Warner, also a wellknown actor, explains that his father was suffering from mental derangement, and had not appeared on the stage for a year. Mr Warner left cash to pay for his board and funeral. A strap indicated that he had made two attempts at strangulation.. The late Mr Warner had a most successful tour in New Zealand in 1887.
