PBOGEAMME OF EVENTS. 1. Maiden Plate, of 8 sovs, for horses that have never won an advertised race ,- second horse one sov from stake; 6 fur longs, open. Minimum weight, 9st; nom Ss l 2. Castlepoint Cup Handicap, of 25 sovs, second horse 2 sovs from stakes; about 1 mile, open. Nom 10s, ace 15s. 3. Scurry Handicap, of 8 sovs, second horse 1 sov from stake j 4 furlongs. District race. Nom Bs. 4. Ladies' Bracelet Handicap, of 10 sovs, second horse £1 10s from stake ; 7 furlongs, horses to be owned by members and nominated by a lady. Minimum weight lOst 71bs. Nom j.l5. Tinui Handicap, of 12 sovs, second horse 2 sovs from stake; about 1 mile, open. Nom 12s. 6. Whakataki Handicap, of 9 sovs, second horse 1 sov from stake; 5 furlongs, open race. Nom 9s. 7 Farced Handicap, of 8 sovs, second horse 1 sov from stake; 6 furlongs, open race. All winners must nominate. EULES AND EEGULATIONS. 1. All events post entry, excepting Castlepoint Cup, nominations for which close on 10th February, 1909. Handicaps declared on Wednesday, 17th February. 2. Entrance fee 5 per csnt on full amount of stake. 3. No horse allowed to start for district race without being three months in the district prior to meeting. 4. The following are the boundaries of the district—The Waimata on the North, Poiigaroaand Tawataiatoll gate to Bideionl on the West, and Taueru, Waihora and Whareama on the South. 5. Minimum weight in handicaps 9st, except Ladies' Bracelet. li. A Hack is a horse which at any time prior to entry has not won a race of the value of luu sovs to the winner, or races to the aggregate value of 250 sovs to the winner. 7. No 3 District Eace.
