Bagatelle, who fell in the Whareroa Hurdles, broke a fetlock and had to be destroyed. The tofalisator investments amounted to £7,306, or £1,823 more than the corresponding day last year.
CRICKET. Aleck Downes, the well-known Otago representative cricketer, has intimated that he does not intend lo play representative cricket again.
