RECENT COLLIERY CREEPS
COLLAPSE OF AN OBELISK. STREETS FLOODED AND TORN UP. Received February 10, 10.20 p.m. SYDNEY, February 10. The obelisk en the hill at the reservoir at Newcastle, damaged during the late colliery creeps, collapsed, and a huge volume of water flooded and tire up the adjoining streets. Qthciwise the damage done slight.
