WEDDING.

SHUTE—BUDD. A pretty wedding, in which considerable local interest was taken, was celebrated at the resid?nce of Mr W. Lenz, Kuripuni, on Wednesday last, the contracting parties being Mr Oliver Shute, son of Mr George Shuts, of Upper Plain, and Miss Jessie P-udd, youngest daughter of Mr W. Budd, of Masterton. The bride, who was given away by Mr W. Lsnz (her brother-in-law), looked handsome in a costume of navy blue. She wore a pretty white chiffon hat. The bridesmaids were Miss Eva Lenz, Miss Mabel Budd (nieces of the bride), and Miss Mabel Shute, sister of the bridegroom. The bridesmaids were attired in pretty white silk muslin dresses, with pale blue sashes and hats to . match. Mr W. Kemp was best man, and the ceremony was performed by the Rev. J. N." Buttle. The bridegroom's present to the bride was a handsome gold brooch. Misses Lenz and Budd each received gold brooches from the bridegroom, and Miss Shute was presented with a pretty gold necklace. The wedding breakfast at Mr W. Lenz's residence was partaken of by a large number of friends and relatives. The usual toasts were honoured/, and felicitous speeches made and good wishes extended to Mr and Mrs 0. Shute for their future welfare. A large number of valuable presents were received, testifying to the popularity of the newly-wedded couple.
