ENGINE AND TRAIN IN COLLISION.

By Telegraph—Press Association. MARTON, 'February 2. At the Marton Railway Station today the rnail train from Wanganui ran into an engine bein * used for shunting purposes in the yard. Both engines were considerably damaged, and ona carriage was damaged. No passengers were hurt, but several fainted from shock. A child was knocked through a window, but unhurt. There were two engines on the mail train. A fireman of one of the engines was badly cut on the hand and bruised his shoulder and ribs. The line was cleared in about an hour. It was a lucky escape from a more serious accident.
