GREAT LOSS OF LIFE.

A HORRIBLE CATASTROPHE. FLEET OF BOATS BURNED. TWO HUNDRED PERSONS PERISH. Received February 2, 9 a.m. PEKIN, February 1. The story of a horrible catastrophe, involving great loss of life, has reached here tram Canton. A fire started on a boat belonging to the flower fleet, and spread to the others, all of which were burnt. It is believed that -fully two hundred persons perished. Already 170 charred bodies have been recovered. Many persons have been reported as missing.
