With the exception of one pen o: fwes and one of mixed 2-too T hs we mr.de a tstal clearance under the hammer We quote: 2-tooth wethers lis, lis Id, lis 2d, shorn larr.DS 6s Id, Is sd, 8s £d, woo-liy Jambs to 10s 7*"', cull lambs 4s Id, aged ewes (is lUd, 6toolh to f.f.m. ewes lis Id, Lincoln rams 21 to 3 guineas. Cattle—Empty forward cows £2 2s 6d, 18-month heifers 375, mixed weaners from 14s to 163, yearling steers 20s. Messrs -Abraham and Williams, Ltd., held their monthly sale at Pongaroa yesterday-. Uhere was a good yarding of sheep.' although the rain prevented several lines entered from coming forward. The following prices were obtained:—Sheep: 4 and 5-year ewes, 10s;, 2 and 4 tooth wethers, lis to 12s; mixed 2-tooths, JO? lOd; woolly lambs, 8s 6d. Cattle: 3-year steers, £3 12s 6d; fat .and forward cows, £3 3s to £3 12s 6d; heifers, 28s 6d to 40s; mixed 18.months, 34s 6d.
