SPORTING.
RACING ' WHAKATAKI HACK RACE MEETING. The annual race meeting of the Whakataki Hack Racing Club will be held on the Castlepoint Beach on Saturday, February 20th next. The programme, which comprises seven events will be found elsewhere in this issue. The chief event is the Castlepoint Cup Handicap, of 25 sovs, about one mile, for which nominations will close with the Secretaries (Messrs A. B. Nicholls and A. T. Hancock, on Wednesday, February 10th. The other events are post 'entry events. WOODVILLE NOMINATIONS. Nominations for all events to be run at the woodville District Jockey Club's Autumn race meeting on Februarv 17th and ISth next, will close with the Secretary, Mr E. J. Gothard, at 8 o'clock, to-morrow night.
