j& kAIHI BOROUGH COUNCIL AND BANK. By Telegraph—Press Association. WAIHI, January 28. At a special meeting cf the Borough Council,' a scheme of retrenchment, as promised to the .National Bank, with the view of reduction of the overdraft, was adopted. The retrenchment means a reduction of expenditure at the rate of £750 per month. The local bank manager has wired to headquarters particulars of the proposed retrenchment.
