Messrs Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report as follows on their Palmerston North stock sale yesterday: —We held a large yarding of both sheep and cattle. Good rape lambs and young ewes were keenly competed for, and all lots sold readily. Aged ewes were not sought after, and several lots were passed, A good clearance was made with the cattle at prices on a par with recent quotations. We quote:—Sheep: Fourand 6-tooth ewes, 12s 8d; f.f.m. ewes, lis 9d; 2-tooth ewes, small, 10s; 2-tooth wethers, 10s to 10s 9d; shorn lambs. 8s 5d to 8s 7d; cull lambs, 4s 3d to 5s Id; woolly lambs, 10s 9d,; ewes and lambs, all counted, 8s 4d. Cattle: Forward bullocks, £6 to £6 14s; fat cows, £4 6s to £5 ; forward cows, |£2 12s 6d to £3 lis; store cows, 35s to £2 8s; 2-year heifers in calf, £2 3s tu £2 18s; 18month empty heifers, 31s 6d to 355; 2-year heifers, £2 ss;- yearling heifers, 225; 18-month steers, £2 13s--6d to £2 14s 6d; yearling steers, £2 0s 6d; bulls, £2 to £3. Cows just calved, £6 10s to £6 15s.
