The Sydney Labour Council has resolved on a general reduction of the hours of labour. Other reforms demanded are:—Abolition of overtime for those who have worked eight hours, or six hours a day in the case of underground workers; that a minimum living wage be not lesS than 8s per day; employment of children under 16 to be prohibited in any industrial occupation; and no person under the age of 18 to work overtime.
