FIRE ON A STEAMER.
DAMAGE PROBABLY HEAVY. Received January 28, 10.25 a.m. BRISBANE, January 28. The North German Lloyd's cargo steamer Tubingen is on fire in No. 1 hold, which contains a thousand bales of wool and a hundred tons of wheat. The fire is still burning. There is little hope of saving any of the contents of No. 1 hold.
