ALLEGED FURIOUS RIDING.

CYCLISTS PROSECUTED. By Telegraph—Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH, January 26. John Tozer, Gilbert MacGloin and Harry Calletly, who finished first, second and third, respectively, in the fifty miles cycle road race from Riverton to Leeston on December 12th, were prosecuted for furious riding, the Magistrate reserving judgment, which was delivered today. Mr Bishop, S.M., said he had carefully considered the matter, and was of opinion that the facts as stated did not constitute an offence under that section cf the Police Offences Act relied on by the infor mations laid, and dismissed the case.
