Messrs Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report as follows on their sale at Palmarston North to-day:— An exceptionally heavy yarding of cattle was offered, and a good demand for all c J assen resulted in almost every line being quitted at satisfactory prices. A good entry of sheep also mot with a keen competition, and with the exception of one line of shorn lambs every Jot was sold under the hammer. We quote:—Cattle: Three and 4-year bullocks, £5 2s 6d to £5 12s; 3-year steers, £4 to £4 Os 2J; 2-year steers, £2 13s to £2 16s 2d, 18-month steers, £2 5s to £2 12s; fat cows, £4 to £5 Is; fat and forward heifers, £3 His; lorward cows, £2 5s to £3; store cows, 3Js to £2; 18-month heifers, 26s to 31s; springing cows £4 to £4 10s; bulls, £2 Is to £2 17s 6d. Sheep: Fat wethers, 12s Id to 13s; fat ewes, lis Gd; fat and forward 2 and 4-tooth ewes and wethers, 12s; 2tooth ewes, 12s 6d; 4-tooth- ewes, 12s 8d; 2-tooth wethers, 10s 9d to lis 4d; small mixed 2-tooths, 16s 3d; light fat ewes, 10s 2d; fat and forward lambs, 10s 6d; cull lambs, 4s 6d; 4, 6 and f.f.m. ewes, 10s; shorn lambs, 8s sd; fresh full-mouth ewes, 6s lOd; mixed aged ewes, 9s.
