WANGANUI WOOL SALES.

At the local wool and skin sales hi'ld by the New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Co., Ltd., to-day, prices were distinctly higher.for all classes of produce as compared to the rates ruling prior to the Christmas vacation, amounting to fully 10 per cent, in the case of wool, sound pelted sheepskins, and tallow, and about 20 per cent, for hides, Calfskins sold at excellent prices—viz., B£d per lb for good, and od per lb fur the average.
