MINING TROUBLE AT HUNTLY.
STILL UNSETTLED. By Telegraph—Press Association. HUNILY, January 21. The trouble at Huntly is still unsettled. To-day proceedings have been quiet, the only excitement being a procession through the streets. Apparently nothing is to be done until the arrival to-morrow night of the Minister for Mines. In the meantime the Taupiri Company is preparing for a lengthy period of inaction. It is stated that a minority of the miners is in favour of returning to work and that that minority is growing. ' Representatives of the Auckland Trades and Labour Council and Waterside Workers' Union arrived in Huntly to-night, and had a conference with the Miners' Union Executive, but the result of the same was withheld from the Press.
