WRECKAGE WASHED ASHORE.

Received January 21, 9.40 a.m. MELBOURNE, January 21. Large qantities of cargo are being washed ashore from the wreck of the four-masted barque Falls of Halhdale, which went ashore near Cape Otway in November last. The cargo found includes thousands of cases of kerosene. The Customs authorities are destroying these. They also propose to burn much valuable timber, which formed part of the cargo, because it ha 3 not paid duty.
