WIN FOR THE "KANGAROOS." Received January 20, 10.46 a.m. |By Telegraph—Press Association. LONDON, January 19. The Australian League, team (the "Kangaroos") defeated Ebbw Vale by 9 points to Bin a fast, brilliant game. Tries for the winners were scored by Conlon, Dean, and Devereux. None were converted. In the second half Ebbw Vale scored a goal and two tries. Mr E. W'rigley, the ex-Red Star player, who is now playing for Huddersfield (England), is the hero of the Huddersfield football public. He has scored more tries and kicked more goals than any other player in the Northern Union, and his play is spoken of by the Press as of being of a particularly high order. His dashes have become quite famous, and the "Wrigley Dash" is a by-word among the sporting public who follow up the Northern Union games. There are now ten New Zealanders playing under Northern Union rules, and as soon as three more Maorilanders are availI able, it is intended to form a New j Zealand Club. Ramsden, the exi Wellington representative, is playing ; for Bradford. Johnston and Wrigley J have both been laid up with injuries. i McGregor played one game for Myther and injured his ankle. He has not played since. Lavery has left the Leeds Club, and is playing with Leigh, while Smith is still playing as well as ever. i
