INVERCARGILL SALES.
By Telegraph—Press Association. INVERCARGILL, Januuary 20. The second wool sale of the season was held to-day. The catalogue totalled 10,137 bales, and nearly all were sold. Prices for crossbreds were half-penny to a penny better than at the last sale. Other sorts were at par. The top price for fine crossbred was Hid, and most of this sort realised lid. Merino, good to . medium, brought 8d to B*d; medium * K> inferior, 7d to 7Jd; quarter-bred, to medium, B|d to lOd; medium to inferior, 7£d; fine crossbred, super tc good,ll£d; good to medium, 9£d; medium to inferior,'72d; strong crossbred, super to good, lOd: good t) medium,!B£d; medium to inferior, 6Jd.
