AUSTRALIA'S PROSPERITY.
REPLY TO LONDON CRITICISM. Received January 20, 10 a.m. MELBOURtNE, January 20. Mr Knibbs, the Commonwealth Statistician, refuting the allegations of the London "Investors' Review" that Australia's prosperity depended only on a borrowing basis, claims that there has been no wild borrowing. Australia's prosperity was solid; there was nothing to show that she was not meeting her obligations honourably, or to create a fear that she would be unable to do so in the future.
