e DEMAND FOR REDUCTION OP OVERDRAFT. DISCHARGE OF ONE HUNDRED EMPLOYEES. By Telegraph—Press Association. WAIHI, January 20. A result of the National Bank's demand for a reduction of the Borough overdraft is the discharge of one hundred employees. The Mayor, clerk and a Councillor, have gone to Auckland to arrange for a temporary loan on the security of the gasworks.
