A PLEASANT CHANGE.
It is to be hoped that the present pleasant change in the weather will continue for sometime at least. Harvesting operations are by no means completed, and the wet and windy weather experienced somewhat recently did a gcod deal of harm. Growers of fat lambs, and stock raisers generally, will hail the return to summer conditions with pleasure. The recent cold "snap" was having a bad effect on stock, and farmers were half-inclined to think that the fall of snow, and cold rain, were portents of an early and severe winter. However, once more the weather is just what is wanted for this season of the year, and it is to be hoped that exhibitions of its changeable character will be less frequent in the immediate future. The suddenness of the changes in the New Zealand climate should certainly plunge any respectable weather prophet into despair.
