BROKEN HILL CASES. CHARGE AGAINST TOM MANN AND OTHERS. HEARING 'COMMENCED. Received January 19, 9.40 a.m. SYDNEY, January 19. The hearing 1 of the charges against Tom Mann and twenty-seven others of causing a riot at Broken Hill has j commenced. Before being admitted to bail, IVann had to give an u;idjrtaking that he woul.l not participate in processions, addrsss meetings, or in any way concern himself with the mining dispute, till after week. THE ALLEGED LOCK-OUT. APPLICATION FOR INJUNCTION WITHDRAWN. MELBOURNE, January 18. The combined unions have withdrawn the application for an injunction to restrain the Proprietary Company from continuing the alleged lock-out.
