FINANCIAL MATTERS.
CITY OF AUCKLAND LOAN. Received January 18, 9.30 a.m. LONDON, January 17. The city of Auckland is issuing a loan of £90,000, bearing interest at 4 per cent. The price of issue is 100 J. Dalgety's new issue has been fully subscribed. The Union Bank balance-sheet shows deposits amounting to £19,237,834; cash, investments, balance, and remittances, £8,609,497; bills and securities, £15,058,830.
