Thqro was a large gathering on the courts, which were in fine order. The Men's Handicap Singles (second grade) was won by Frater, of Auckland. Ladies' Championship Singles.— Third Round. Miss Powdrell beat Mrs E. Jones, 6-2, 6-1. Final. Miss Nunnelley beat Miss Powdrell, 6-3, 4-6, 6-3. Men's Championship [Singles.— Second Round. Brailsford beat S. Powdrell. 7 -5, 6—3. H. W. Brown beat L. J. Taylor, 6-2, 5-1. Third Round. S. J. Smith a bye from Nicholson. Wilding beat Brailsford, 6 —2, 6—o. Fisher beat Jennings, 3—6 6—3, 6—3. Parker beat Brown, 6 —l, 6—o. Semi-final. Wilding beat Smith, 6—o, 6—l. Men's Championship Doubles.— Second Round. Parker and Brown beat Taylor and Black, 6-3, 6—o. Fisher and Wilding beat Jennings and Caplen, 6—3, 6—2. Ladies' Championship Doubles.— First Round. Mrs Jones and Miss Powdrell.beat Misses Simpson, 6—l, 6—2. Second Round. Mrs Payne and Miss Nunneley beat Miss Cave and Miss Brewster, 6—2, 6—o. Mrs Jones and Miss Powdrell beat Misses Thomson, 6—2, 6—l. Final. Mrs Payne and Miss Nunneley beat Mrs Jones and Powdrell, 4—6, 6--4, 7—5. Combined Championship Doubles.— First Round. Miss Powdrell and Fisher beat Miss Cave and H. W. Brown, 6 —l, 6 —5. Miss Brewster and Black beat Miss D. Simpson and Dr. Fookes, 6—4, 6—l. Second Round. Miss Nunneley and Wilding beat Miss Brewster and Black, 6 —2, 6—3. Fisher and Parker meet in the semi-final for the Championship Singles. The winner plays Wildii:g. The Tournament will be continued on Monday.
