WALES DEFEATS ENGLAND. ANOTHER WIN FOR "WALLABIES." THE "KANGAROOS" DEFEATED. Received January 18, 12.35 a.m. LONDON, January 17. Wales beat England yesterday by a goal and a try (8 points) to nil. The "Wallabies" scored 5 tries (15 points) against Plymouth, a penalty goal and a try (6 points), on Saturday. The game was arranged in acknowledgment of the Club's kindness to injured Australians while in the local Hospital. The Welsh League team scored 4 tries and 1 goal (14 points) against the "Kangaroos" (Australian professional team) 3 tries and 2 goals (13 points). The Merthyr ground, where the match was played, was in poor order.
