j RIVALS v. W.F.C.A. ' Rivals had an easy victory over W.F.C.A. yesterday on the Park | Oval, winning by 145 runs. With the score reading 0 for 82 Lomas and Waters resumed batting for Rivals, and carried the score to 100 Itfore Lomas was bowled by Congdon. Lomas played a particularly attractive innings for 40, and hit well all round the wicket. His score included six 3's and three 4's. The partnership is a record for a first wicket in Thursday cricket. The innings produced 160 runs, i Waters made 52 by vigorous batting, and Dwyer (23) and Morris (175 played nicely, Dwyer in particular showing good form. Phillips (5 lor 27) was the most successful bowler. W.F.C.A. required 169 runs to win,, but (batting 10 men) were all out for 23.
