Shocks of earthquake have been felt at Genoa, Milan, Venice, Florence and Padua. Much damage is reported. A, panic occurred at Imola, near Bolongna. FURTHER LIGHT SHOCKS. Received January 14, 9.35 p.m. ROME, January 14. The Duke of Connaught visited Messina, and says that he considers the destruction has surpassed anything imaginable. It seemed as if the city had passed through a sieve like ground wheat. Light shocks were experienced early on Wednesday morning. MUCH ALARM CAUSED. BUT NO DAMAGE. ReceivedjJJanuary'l4, 10.30 p.m. LONDON, January 14. Some shocks were felt at Ravenna, Pisa, Lucca, Pistoia, Perugia, Ferrart, Verona, Reggionell, Emilia, Belluna, and Rimini. VISNNA, January 14. Many points in Southern Austria, extending from Sarajevo (capital of Bosnia) to Trieste, felt the shocks on Wednesday morning. Among the places affected were Botzen (an important trading town of the Austrian Tyrol), M;ran (a town in Tyrol, and a celebrated winter resort), and Pola (the chief naval station of AustriaHungary, 105 miles by rail south of Trieste).
