THE ITALIAN DISASTER.
RATIONS FOR 64,000 PERSONS. Received January 13, 10.20 p.m. ROME, January 13. The Relief Committee in the Italian earthquake zone distribute rations daily to 64,000 presons. CHRISTCHUKCH, January 13. The sum of £2OO, which has been lying to the credit of the Cheviot earthquake fund for some years, is to be devoted to the relief of the suffe'rersby the recent Sicilian earthquake. A number of the committee connected with the fund agreed to this step, and the Prime Minister cordially approved of the suggestion.
