One man called out an epprobious name to the driver, and was arrested, but the onlookers made no attempt to rescue him. UNION DECLINE TO WITHDRAW PICKETS. A STUMBLING BLOCK TO JOINT CONFERENCE. Received January 13, 9.41 a.m. SYDNEY, January 13. The Union? declined to withdraw the pickets, which was required, by the Proprietary directors as a precedent to a conference with Judge Higgin;. ANOTHER BOMB EXPLOSION. BRUTAL ASSAULTS OF POLICE.
EXPRESSIONS OP DISGUST. LARGE INDIGNATION MEETING. STRONG CONDEMNATORY SPEECHES. Received January 14. 1 a.m. SYDNEY, January 13. Another bomb exploded at Block 10 Reserve to-day, but no damage was done. The man arrested in connection with the recent riot was-fined 30s on a charge of using insulting language. The Mayor of Broken Hill presided at a large indignation meating, at which a resolution was carried expressing disgust at the attitude of tie police and their brutal assaults on law-abiding citizens.
