T.VENIY-TWO PERSONS AWAITING EXECUTION. JRecsivect January 12, 8.25 a.m. PARIS, January 11. Twenty-two persons are awaiting execution in France. There has been no capital punishment since 1905. Four of the condemned will be publicl; truiUutined at in the department of the Pas de Cal- . ais, to day, in accordance with the recent decision of the Chamber of Deputies, unit-tuning capital punishment on the statute-book. ■ "A POPULAR FETE." Rscaived January 12, 9.20 p.m. PARIS, January 12. An enormous crowd treated the quadruple execution in Paris as a popular fete, and shouted "Death to 'the murderers." They cheered the fall of eacn head. Abel Pollet, one of the condemned men, admitted having committed 250 • crimes.
