The friends of Mrs Stilborn (Bentonfield) will regret to hear that she is very ill, writes our Tinui correspondent. Mr J. Cole, who last week sustained an accident to his arm while at work in the engineering department of the Masterton Farmers' Implement Company, was yesterday removed to the Masterton Hnspital, where he underwent an operation. Mr Cole was reported to he progressing favourably last evening. The resignation of Mr Stanley R. Edwards, Assistant County Clerk at Masterton, was received by the County Council yesterday, Mr Edwards stating that he had received an appointment in the Tourist Department. The resignation was accepted with regret. The Chairman made eulogistic reference to Mr Edwards' efficiency, other Councillors concurring.
