WELLINGTON, January 11, The following is Captain Edwin's weather forecast to 3 p.m. to-mor-row : —Wind, easterly, strong to gale north of Farewell Spit and Cape Campbell; notherly, moderate to strong elsewhere. Rain is probable north of Napier, Taupo and Kawhia. Barometer fall probable everywhere. Mr J. C. Boddington reports that the rainfall registered at the Upper Plain for the 24 hours preceding 9 a.m. on Sunday was 9 points, and for the same period preceding 9 a.m. on Monday 3 points.
